VIB Rouge Starter Kit

Hiii!!

Having to admit I spent $1000 already in this year..is it even something I should announce ahaha..?
What did I even buy?? I became a member of VIB Rouge. Sephora's newest and highest status aka screaming at everyone that I am a beauty junkie and probably spend too much (is that even possible?) at Sephora!! haah.. but yes I am and I've spent well over that amount, probably don't even want to disclose this lol...

but anyway you can trade in your silver card for a spanking new red one.
Your card comes in this fancy black box sleeve.

and when you slide it open, there's an info card welcoming you "to the top".

Lift that open and you see your contents, a card and a lipstick.

This awesome VIB Rouge package sadly does not include a 10% off card but includes a mini Bite lipstick in a Sephora exclusive red. It's pretty dark and I shockingly have to say I like it!..
Bite goes on really smooth and pigmented, I want to try on other colours before raving lol.

Other benefits include:

  • MY FAVOURITE : Free shipping on all orders online WOOT WOOT!!!!!
  • Surprise gifts (We'll see about that...)
  • Full unlimited access to the beauty studio.. I never really use this but they do have a new IQ foundation matcher demo going on which I might try out!
  • Exclusive events
  • & all the other benefits you get from being a VIB aka free samples, exclusive offers and bday presents.
Honestly, I'm just excited for free shipping without having to hit a minimum! Usually I never see free samples or local events so.... we'll see..

Are you a VIB Rouge yet? Don't think it's as hard as it is to obtain as you think..$1000 easily flies out of your pocket at Sephora ahahah!!!!

Status automatically gets updated, you can pick it up at a store or it should pop up online during check out.

ps. there were the special 5000 / 10000 point perks but I won't talk about those since it's over and it caused me heart break.. because if I knew (since I asked a million times before) I wouldn't have spent sooo many of my points on the other packages :( and I didn't really use those items either sad!!!!!

Until next time,

Mir

random Sephora freebies

Who knew fixing a mistake at Sephora = free stuff? lol..

Recently I was looking at an old Sephora receipt and realized there was a refund mistake, I quickly called the Sephora where I did the transaction and was told to go in and get it fixed asap. When I went, the person who answered the phone wasn't here so I had to explain my situation to THREE employees.
All of them not really understanding what I saying, it was like broken telephone. So I was like "Wait, I'll explain to all three at once!" This was so awkward, then one of them was like "Let's just call and ask!". Then they called the girl I was on the phone with initially. THEN I got my situation fixed. One from the trio told me to hold on and went to the back. He came out with a makeup bag full of samples saying it was for the trouble caused and the time it took. I didn't mind the situation but this was a very awesome gesture, even more awesome when I opened the bag and there was NAIL POLISH!

Basically the situation was, I was supposed to get a refund of about $44 but instead it came out to $23. I really should pay attention to these things next time lol!

Anyway on to my bag of goodies.

First, I really like the makeup bag they provided. The size and quality is decent & the fishnet/floral design is nice. Also, I needed a bigger one!

 Contents include:
2 miniature perfumes in - Juicy Couture: Couture La La & Dior - DiorAddict Eau Fraîche
Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Cream
First Aid Beauty - Face Cleanser
Clinique - All About Eyes Serum
Dior Addict Lipstick in Dior Kiss
Dior Nail polish in Rouge Garçonne

A Close-up of the nail polish, a darkish wine red with a super hidden silver shimmer. Super hidden as in you need to stick it right up to your face under a light to see it hahaa! But it's still pretty!

L'Occitane - gift from promotion

Hi everyone!!

Recently L'Occitane had a Facebook promotion to sign up to receive a free 10ml hand cream but it was upgraded to a 30ml hand cream ($12 value!!) and 15% off when you go and pick up the cream!

There were three choices to pick from: Shea Butter, Lavender and Pivoine Flora.
They ran out of the Lavender so I picked their original Shea Butter :)

The saleslady there was SO amazing! Because they ran out of the Lavender scent she also gave me a packet sample to try. On top of the 30ml cream + packet sample she also threw in MORE samples!
I was like "Really? Samples upon samples?" hehe and she packaged it so nicely!
I love the sticker and the cute paper bag!

I just want to thank L'Occitane for giving out such an awesome promotion! I haven't been out much since I'm sick so I haven't used much of the cream yet. But it goes on pretty smooth and the scent of the shea butter is really subtle. My hands were smooth that whole day when I went to try out their scents before picking out Shea Butter. Perfect for Canadian winter weather!

They have tons more scents and other products available at their website if you want to check it out at
http://ca.loccitane.com

I like their new spring cherry line, it's a bit strong but smells amazing. I may go revisit L'Occitane real soon!

ps. I want to thank Aldrin who helped me out when the promo didn't show up in my email!  & my brother for driving me to Yorkdale for no other purpose!! I know he probably could have spent his time better but yay <3

Wantable - free box

Hey Everyone!!

Someone posted something on a group I follow that I just want to share! :)

and sign up to receive a *free box once Wantable.co starts shipping to Canada :D

I have word that they have plans to start shipping to Canada in April!

I have read a few reviews and by word of mouth, they sound completely customizable AND amazing.

From what I have learned within my few minutes of 'researching' is:

-They have awesome customer service. (big plus!)
-They offer two variety of boxes 1 for makeup, 1 for jewelry. You can pick either one, or probably even purchase both!
-They will offer a survey for you to fill out to customize your box.
-From what I read you can either opt out of receiving nail polish, customize colour choices.
One of the blogs I read said she'd prefer not getting nude lipsticks and instead got a lovely red shade!
-Each box offers a variety of products! (big plus as well) Items include:
jewelry: Rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces.
makeup: nail polish, lip gloss, lip stick, eyeshadows, liners, brushes etc!! :)

*terms have said you purchase a box and within 2 days you will be reimbursed the amount less canadian shipping.

So I have yet to figure out the total cost w/ CDN shipping..

but this sounds promising..!

Are you already a subscriber, if so what are your thoughts?
If Canadian, will you be signing up for this offer? ;)

----------------------------------UPDATE-------------------------------------------

If it wasn't clear, Wantable is a subscription box like Topbox, Loose Button, Glymm, Julep etc and the list goes on..~!
There are two types of boxes available to choose from. One focuses on jewelry and one focuses on makeup.
There is an extensive profile survey you fill out in the beginning so they can fully customize your box. Unlike other subscriptions which also has a survey, from reviews this one actually seems to follow it!
One blogger states, she hated nude lipstick and she only received shades like red & pink (big plus!)
I, personally dislike pink/red lipstick, so I am glad if I fill that out I won't be getting any!

Also, aside from signing up for email alerts, there hasn't been anymore information yet but my friends who has been following this longer than I have, assured it will be coming soon..

I know Wantable is already quite pricey, but this definitely seems like a box to try!

Essie Sleek Stick

Hey Everyone,

A while ago, Essie offered a promotion to sample their new product Sleek Sticks, which is basically nail appliqués. I was pretty excited since I've never tried these types of products before.

I love their stickers and stones design! But in person, the 'stones' looked a bit too bubbled/foiled for my liking and I actually prefer their a to zebra design :)

Essie offers 12 designs pictured below:

Their sample included 2 stickers of 4 designs: a to zebra, sneak-e, don't cheetah on me and sticker and stones.

The sample stickers don't really fit my fingers, my thumb is slightly too wide but the rest of my fingers are too narrow hehe, so I roughly tried it on my thumb because I'm lazy with clean up.
Application was easy enough. I just peeled, stuck it on and filed off the excess. At the base, it wasn't totally flat but after a bit of rubbing, it flatten itself out :)

Pictured here is sneek-e without a base coat, base colour or top coat.  I folded the tip then filed it off. You can't really see it but the edges aren't rough persay but it looks like it has tip wear.. Not bad for a first-timer right? :)

The stickers are smooth and easy to apply, the price point is a tad high for my budget ($12.99 on well.ca) so I am glad I have this sample to try it out first!

Did you get these in the mail also? How do you like them? :)
