Today I have some of the Kinetics Urban Legend Fall/Winter 2013/2014 to share with you all. This collection consists of 10 colours most of which are darker vampy colours synonymous with the colder weather. Here is how Kinetics describes their new collection:
"This fall, Kinetics brings you Urban Legend, with 10 new nail polish colors, each inspired by a designer's runway fashions and reflecting life in a big city. From sophisticated elegance of up-town life like Cat As Accessory, through sheer elegance of browns in Urbanesse, with conclusion in signature red Urban Legend. The original artwork for the Urban Legend's nail color line was created exclusively for Kinetics' Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Collection."
For part one I have 4 of the lighter colours from the collection to show you all:
Empty Streets
Empty Streets is a beautiful creme beige, this polish applied like butter and could pass off as a one coater but I used two since I was taking pictures in direct sunlight. I think this shade can be universally flattering on all skin tones.

Skyscraper
Skyscraper is a creme grey purple, think Essie Merino Cool or China Glaze Below Deck. I used two layers for full opacity, it applied really well but there were small areas of patchiness when under direct sunlight. I also think this particular shade is very flattering on all skin tones.

Urbanesse
Urbanesse is shimmery deep mauve, it was very hard to difficult to capture the true shade on camera. The colour is actually lighter than what the swatches show and much more shimmery too. Not sure why my camera didn't cooperate! I used two layers of this shade, the first layer was very thin but there was total opacity with a second layer.

Cat as Accessory
Cat as Accessory is a creme periwinkle, it reminds me of China Glaze Secret Periwinkle (Please let me know if you want to see a comparison swatch of this shade or any of the previous shades). I used 2 layers as well to get full coverage.

This is the first time I've tried Kinetics Nails Colors and I am seriously in love with the formula and quality of of these polishes. They all dried to a high gloss shine (I didn't use any top coat for any of the swatches) and they all could pass off as one coaters if a thick coat is used.
Stay tooned for my next post where I'll review 4 more wonderful shades from the Kinetics Urban Legend Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Collection!
Keep Warm,
Annie
