Kinetics Nails System Limited Edition Secret Garden Collection Autumn2014

Wait just a minute...last time I looked up it was still summer. Can't believe how fast time is flying by. It's fall already and you know what that means...fall/winter releases.

"This fall, Kinetics' takes you for a walk through mysterious Secret Garden with the release of a limited edition range of new polish colors, featuring eight autumnal, saturated shades - with a matte effect finish."
Today I have 4 of Kinetics Nail System's Limited Edition Secret Garden Collection for Autumn 2014. The collection is composed of 8 matte fall ready shades.

Let's start off with my favourite....

Lucy In The Sky
I may be a bit biased since purple is my favourite colour but I loved the way this polish looked matte and glossy. In the bottle Lucy In The Sky is a beautiful purple creme color, when dried it is slightly darker on the nail than in the bottle. I used 3 coats to get even coverage.

Flashy Flower Pink
I found this pink to be a little strange for a fall release as I usually think of dark vampy colors when I think of fall. Nonetheless I feel like any colour of polish can be worn throughout the year, who says you can't wear a hot pink in the middle of fall or winter! I had to use three coats as it was a little patchy. I feel like most matte polishes are a little difficult to work with and at least 2-3 coats must be used. I personally preferred the look of the polish with topcoat, I thought it made the pink more vibrant.

The Grass Is Blue
The Grass Is Blue is navy blue and dried slightly lighter than the color you see in the bottle. I used 2 coats for even coverage, the first layer was pretty patchy so I did a thin layer at first, let it dry and did a thick layer.

Peacock's Life
For the life of me I couldn't tell what shade this was. In the press photo it's brown, in the bottle it looks black and a thin coat on paper it looks like a dark purple. I think I'll say it's a very dark purple almost black. I used 2 coats for opacity.

If any of you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen the manicure I created using all 4 polishes listed above. I was inspired my Chalkboard Nail's negative space mani she did a while back.

Until Next Time,

Annie
