Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Swatches

Hello dear followers! Today I have a follow up to Mir's Revlon Colorstay Event post. I will be swatching the polishes I received in my goodie bag at the end of the event. If you would like to read Mir's original post you can do so here.

All my swatches were topped with the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Topcoat which I forgot to take a picture of. The topcoat did a great job adding a gel like shine to my nails and dried fairly quick. I was quite impressed with the overall quality of the polishes. Many only required one coat for opacity and dried quickly with a glossy shine.

Onward to the swatches...

Dealer's Choice
Dealer's Choice is a muted turquoise teal shade with a very delicate purple and green micro-shimmer. I used two coats for the swatch below. Great formula and consistency, the polish was easy to work with and applied great.

Up The Ante
Up The Ante is a dark fuchsia shade, I used two coats for opacity. I don't think I would've picked up this colour on my own, I don't think it works well with my skin tone. Despite that I have to admit that I did enjoy the formula of the polish. It was easy and smooth to apply and the wide brushes made application quick.

High Roller
My absolute favorite of the bunch. It's not a secret that Mir and I both love purple! To find a shade that is so beautiful, so vampy, applies well and dare I say, possesses the perfect formula is quite rare. One coat did the trick although in hindsight I should've done two only because I was taking pictures in direct sunlight.

Showtime
Showtime was a shade I had a hard time capturing, it is much more purple and vibrant in person. It is sort of like High Roller's glittery younger sister. The glitter in the polish consists of different shades of purple and a little bit of blue peeking through here and there.

Royal Flush
Royal Flush is not a shade I'd pick up on my own either, it is a hot fuchsia/ berry pink with a very slight micro-shimmer but out of the bunch I would say the formula of this one was the best. You could not ask for anything better! I used one coat in the swatch below and in direct sunlight it is totally opaque. It applied very smooth and had a great consistency that made it very easy to work with.

A quick mani/nail art I did using Royal Flush. I used the Gel Envy Topcoat and you can see how glossy it made my mani.

In case you all were wondering why the pictures are watermarked @anniepolishes it is because the images were taken from my instagram account. I usually post there first since it's so easy to upload pictures from my phone. Please feel free to add me on there if you like what you see ;)

If any of these shades caught your eye or you have colour from this collection you've been lemming we have a $2 off coupon to share with you all. I believe you can print it out and use the coupon at any drug store, not just Shoppers Drug Mart. (Only valid for Canadians)

Until Next Time,

 Annie
